There are many research institutes, which are carrying out commendable research activities on Jainism. These institutes have made great contributions by publishing research based on ancient Indian scriptures. But, most of these publications are clear and criticized editions of scriptures. They have carried out comparative analysis of religion and science, and acknowledge relationship between religion and science. None of these institutes have carried out any scientific or experimental research.

RISSIOS is the only institute of its kind in Jain sect which intents to carry out experimental research. One of the most unique aspects is that the institute has the privilege to have able guidance from Munishri Nandighoshvijayji, who is an expert in this subject.
